Pope addresses U.S. believers and nonbelievers

April 8, 2008 — During a Vatican press conference this morning, Pope Benedict XVI addressed the American people by video. His remarks, which were delivered mainly in English and partially in Spanish, are transcribed below.

Dear brothers and sisters in the United States of America: The grace and peace of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you!
